The table shows the number of tulip bulbs Chloe and Grady planted. If they each planted the same number of bulbs, how many did each plant?

Chloe: 3 (t+1)

Grady: 3 (2t - 3)

    If they each planted the same number then, 3 (t+1) = 3 (2t-3)

    Distribute that and you'll get 3t+3=6t-9.

    There are different ways to go from there but if you add 9 to both sides you'll have 3t+12=6t, subtract 3t from both sides

    12=3t and divide by 3 to get 4=t. Then to find how many they got simply plug 4 into both equations. Make sure they come out ewual
