The sum of two numbers is 50. One number is 10 less than three times the other number. What are the two numbers?

    Ok so its a guessing game

    I say its 40+10 because

    40-10{one # is 10 less than) = 30

    10 (3) {three times the other number}=30

    so 40+10=50
