What is the - 5x - 7 is greater than 28

    x > - 7

    You have to move the constant (7) to the other side:

    -5x-7>28 - -> - 5x>28+7

    Then add 7 and 28 together to get 35. Divide both sides by negative five:

    -5x>35 - -> x>-7

    Flip the inequality sign:

    x<-7
