Three boys estimate the number of beans in a jar at a candy store. the owner tells them that one guess is too high and another is too low. however, each guess is incorrect by some power of 2. if they guessed 629,821, and 1013 ... how many beans were in the jar?

    The answer should be 757 beans let me know if i am wrong.

    821 - 629 = 192

    the next power of 2 below this is 128 (2^7)

    Now 629 + 128 = 757

    821 - 757 = 64 which is also a power of 2

    1013 - 757 = 256 which is 2^8

    So the answer is 757 beans
