Yahir has 1/2 a gallon of ice tea in a pitcher he plans to pour 1/16 gallon into a drinking glass. what fracrrion of a gallon will he have left in the pitcher?

    Easy : it's 7/16 because you minus 1/2 and 1/16 to get 7/16

    He would have 7/16 of a gallon of iced tea left. To get the answer, you would have to turn 1/2 into a similer fraction to that of 1/16, which is 8/16, and then you subtract 1/16 of it, to get 7/16.

    1/2 x 8 = 8/16 - 1/16 = 7/16
