MI = - x+16
Step-by-step explanation:
MI + IB = MB
MI + 2x-7 = x+9
Subtract 2x from each side
MI + 2x-7 - 2x = x+9-2x
MI - 7 = - x+9
Add 7 to each side
MI - 7+7 = - x+9+7
MI = - x+16
