To use distributive property, all you have to do is multiply the number in the parenthesis.
Example:
3 (2x+4)
To solve this problem, first, you would have to multiply 3 and 2x. Your answer would be 6x. Next, you would have multiply 3 and 4. You would get 12. Finally, your expression would be 6x+12.
