Bobby has baseball practice Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each practice is 2 1/2 hours. Bobby says he will have practice for 4 hours each week.

Without multiplying, explain how you know Bobby is incorrect.

How long will Bobby have baseball practice this week? Type your answer as a mixed number. Show your work.

    It's simple that since he practices for 2 1/2 hours each practice that if he goes for 2 practices he is already in 5 hours. He will have practiced 7 1/2 hours this week.

    2 1/2*3 = 7 1/2

    A: I know Bobby is incorrect because just by looking at the amount of hours, 4 hours would be less than 2 practices.

    (I'm not sure thats the right answer, sorry ...)

    B: Bobby will have practice for 7 1/2 or 7 and a half hours.

    2 1/2 * 3 (amount of days of practice)

    (I'm pretty positive about B but not so sure about A, say you didnt understand it but you tried.)
