    Length=x

    Width=x+12

    Perimeter=68

    To find the perimeter you have to add all the sides

    So it will look like this:

    x + (x+12) + x + (x+12) = 68

    4x+24=68

    4x=68-24

    4x=44

    x=44/4

    x=11

    the length is 11 cm long

    width is 11+12 = 23

    The width is 23cm long
