    First you get common denominators everywhere

    6 (x+5) + 7 (x+1) = 11

    Distribute

    6x+30+7x+7=11

    Simplify.

    13x+37=11

    Subtract the divide to solve

    13x=-26

    x=-2

    The answer would therefore be - 2.
