Two thirds of a number reduced by 11 is equal to 4 more than the number. Find the number

    2n/3 - 11 = n + 4

    Add 11 to both sides:

    2n/3 = n + 15

    Multiply both sides by 3:

    2n = 3n + 45

    Isolate n:

    -n = 45

    n = - 45
