A large aquarium of water is being filled with a hose. Due to a problem, the sensor

does not start working until some time into the filling process. The sensor starts its

recording at the time zero minutes. The sensor initially detects the tank has 225 liters

of water in it

a. The hose fills the aquarium at a constant rate of 15 liters per minute. What will

the sensor read at the time 5 mintes?

    Answer: 300 liters.

    Step-by-step explanation: It says we gain 15 liters per minute. Therefore, by simply taking 15 and multiplying it by 5, we get 75. We then add that to what the sensor has, due to it not having any time once it reached 225 liters.

    Not relevant to the question, but just incase, by looking at 225 liters being in the tank, we know that it's been 15 minutes before the sensors started working.
