    Total Children = 100

    Boys = 27 + 18 = 45

    Girls = 32 + 23 = 55

    As their is no drop down menu with phrases to chose from, we will assume phrases to complete the statements ourselves so that they are according to the data given.

    Statement 1:

    ''Of the boys surveyed, more preferred apples. "

    27 boys preferred apples while only 18 boys preferred oranges.

    Statement 2:

    "Of the girls, more preferred Apples. "

    32 girls preferred apples while only 23 girls preferred oranges.

    Statement 3:

    "There appear to be an association between gender and fruit preference. "

    This statement seems complete already. However, it is not true as majority from both the genders preferred apples.
