What we are going to do is develop both expressions separately.

    Expression 1:

    42 * (34) * (5-2)

    1428 * (5-2)

    4284

    Expression 2:

    42 * 34 * 5-2

    7140-2

    7138

The difference between both expressions is:

    7138-4284 = 2854

    answer:

the difference between the two expressions is

    2854
