    Given the volume of a cylinder V = pi (r2) h we simply plug in the numbers The radius is half the diameter so r = 4cmthe height h is given as 12 cmV = 3 (42) (12) = 3 (16) (12) = 576 cm3 Note: Generally we would use 3.14 as the rounded value of pi.
