we know that the ratio of black cars to red cars is 6:4.

since there are 48 red cars we want to find out how many black cars were made. to do that we do (48/4) which equals to 12. then we multiply it by our ratio (12*6) : (12*4) which will equal to 72:48

so in total 72 black cars were made
