3. distribute your - 5 to your 6 which gives you - 30
4. now write down the problem again so that you have 30 = - 30x - 30
5. add 30 to your 30 on the left of the equals and to the - 30 on the right of it
6. now you should have 60 = - 30x
7. divide everything by - 30
8. finally you should get - 2 = x
9. very last flip it so that the x is on the left of the equals sign
