    The answer is 200.96 cm^2.

    2*3.14*r=50.24

    =>r=50.24/6.28

    =>r=8 cm

    Thus area = 3.14*r*r

    = 3.14*8*8

    =200.96 cm^2

    For a circle,

    c=2pi R

    and

    A=pi R^2

    so rearranging we get

    A=c^2/4pi

    plug in the values

    A=50.24^2/4pi

    A=200.85 sq. cm
