He has to sell 3 paintings per hour.

    Step-by-step explanation:

He has already sold 3 paintings and has 14 left. To find this out, you have to divide 14 by 5 which is 2.8. 2.8 rounded up is 3. Then you multiply 3x5+3 which is 18. If he sells 3 paintings per hour, he will end up having sold 18 at the end of the day.
