Many supersonic jet aircraft in the past have used triangular wings called delta wings. Below is a scale drawing of the top of a delta wing. Scale: 2 centimeters (cm) in the drawing = 192 cm on the actual wing. What is the length of the actual?

    Given scale:

    2 cm = 192 cm on actual wing

    The length of wing on the drawing = 8.125 cm

    So actual length of wing = 192/2 x 8.125

    Actual length of wing = 780 cm

    Answer: 780 cm
