The area on the wall covered by a rectangle poster is 320 square inches. The length of the poster is 1.25 times longer than the width of the poster. What are the dimensions of the poster?

    If width is X, then length is 1.25X

    1.25X·X=320

    1.25X²=320

    X²=256

    X=16 or X=-16 (not this one ...)

    width=16in

    length=16x1.25=20in
