    This question can definitely be answered. Here it is already given that 5% of the batch of inspected fuses were found to be faulty. The number of faulty fuses is also given and it is 27. Now

    Let us assume that the number of fuses inspected = x

    Number of faulty fuses = 5x/100

    Now if we put all the given information's together, then we get an equation and that is:

    5x/100 = 27

    5x = 2700

    x = 2700/5

    = 540

    So the total number of fuses inspected is 540
