If x ─1 is a factor of 2x³+x² ─ 4x + m, find m

    Since x-1 is a factor than

    (X-1) • (someting) = 2x^3 + x^2 - 4x+m=0

    X-1=0 so x=1

    Substitute in the equation

    2•1+1-4+m=0

    -3+m=0

    m=3
