The length of a rectangle is three times its width. If the perimeter is at most 112 centimeters, what is the greatest possible value for the width?

    Since the length of the rectangle is 3 widths long, it can also be represented by 3 widths. So the perimeter would be 8 widths long. (2lengths+2widths)

    Hence, 112cm=8widths

    Width=112cm/8

    =14cm

    Thus, the greatest possible value for the width is 14cm
