F (x) = - 2x+7. Slope is delta y over delta x. So the change is y is - 6 and the change in x is 3. - 6 over 3 simplifies to - 2. That is the slope. The y-intercept is where it intersects the y-axis, or when the x value is equal to zero. In this case, the y-intercept is 7.
