Downtown, 8 artists were painting a mural that was 86 feet long. If they split the canvas evenly, how much will each artist get to paint? which two whole numbers does your answer lie between?

    You would want to divide the 86 feet by the 8 artist so you would do ...

    86 feet / 8 artists = 10.75 feet per artist

    For the second part 10.75 would fall between 10 and 11
