For every dollar Ben spent on bagels, David spent 25 cents less. Ben paid 12.50 more than David. How much did they spend in the bagel store together?

    N = how much Ben spent

    N - 0.25 cents = David spent

    D = David

    D + 12.50 = Ben spent

    12.50 x 2 = 25.00 - 0.25 = 24.75

    I think it would be 22.50 but I'm not completely sure
