    This here is a simple algebra equation that may seem tricky due to the wording. However, with some simple deduction, you will be able to see that all you have to find is a small equation.

    So if 1lbs = $5.99

    and you need to find 1.5lbs

    5.99x = answer

    then all you simply have to do is multiply $5.99 by 1.5lbs.

    When completing the equation, you will see that 1.5lbs of ham will cost $8.985 which will round to $8.99.
