    P = 2 (L + W)

    P = 126

    L = 2W

    126 = 2 (2W + W)

    126 = 2 (3W)

    126 = 6W

    126/6 = W

    21 = W

    L = 2W

    L = 2 (21)

    L = 42

    so the length (L) = 42 ft and the width (W) = 21 ft
