I drive at a speed of 40km/hr. I can drive 50% farther in 50% less time if I increase my speed to

    You would be attempting to drive at 120km/hr. We can figure this out by taking half of 40, so 20+40 = 60 for half of an hour, or 30 minutes, making it 60 km/half hour times 2, equals 120 for an hour.
