Nicole is trying to determine an algebraic expression to represent the amount of dog biscuits she needs to purchase for a dog show. She does not know how many dogs will attend the event but wants to have 2 biscuits per dog plus an additional 35 dog biscuits. If d represents the number of dogs, which expression represents the number of dog biscuits Nicole will need for the event?

    2 biscuits per dog is modeled by 2d because its 2 biscuits times however many dogs then you would add 35 because thats just a constant. even if no dogs were to show up, she would still have 35. this would all be modeled by:

    totalBiscuits=2d+35
