John earned $12 on Saturday but he only managed to earn half of the amount on Sunday. He earned $26 the previous weekend. How much more does he need to earn to give the $60 he needs to buy a new hockey stick?

    First, you would go;

    12:2=6

    Then, you would do;

    12+6+24 = 42

    Finally;

    60-42 = 18

    John needs $18 to buy the hockey stick.
