    The function for this would be

    f (x) = 70x + 5

    Plug the 4 and half hours (4.5) into the function

    f (x) = (70 x 4.5) + 5

    You then get 315 from multiplying 70 and 4.5. Then add the additional 5 from gasoline.

    You end up with 320$ for working 4 and a half hours
