a small company's workforce consists of store employees, store managers, and corporate managers in the ratio of 10:3:1. How many employees are either corporate managers or store managers if the company has a total of 126 employees?

    To work this out, would divide 126 by 14 (all the numbers in the ratio added together) to get 11. This is the amount of corporate managers.

    To find the amount of store managers, you would do 11x3 to get 33. This is because 3 in every 14 people are store managers rather than just 1.

    Because you need the amount of both store and corporate managers, you would add 33 and 11 together to get the final answer of 44 employees.
