1 would equal one whole so u have 1=100%
3.5 so u know u have at least 300% now
.5 is half of one whole so it would be 50% then add total = 350%
or just move the decimal to places to make it 350 and u moved the decimal to the hundreds and percent means out of 100 so then u can slap a % sign on there

1 is the same as 100%. So 1/2 is the same as 50%
and
3 is the same as 300%
so
3 + 1/2 = 300% + 50% = 350%
