If a squared + b - c:m, if a=6, b = 8, c=5 and m = 3

    6^2+8-5/3

    Pemdas dictates that exponents go first.

    36+8-5/3

    Then evaluate the division.

    36+8 - (5/3)

    Then add and subtract going from left to right.

    36+8=44

    44 - (5/3) = 42 1/3
