    Answer: Profit = $1,225.09

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Hi, to answer this we have calculate the total cost and the earnings:

    Cost of the supplies:

    Beef: 4 pounds at $9.25 per pound: 4 x 9.25 = $37

    Potatoes: 6 pounds at $6.96 per pound: 6 x 6.96 = $41.76

    Carrots: 5 pounds at $9.81 per pound: 5 x 9.81 = $49.5

    Total cost = 37 + 41.76 + 49.5 = $127.87

    Price of the meals: $48.32 each (28 made)

    Earnings: 48.37 x 28 = $1,352.96

    Finally we subtract the cost to the earnings:

    Profit = earnings - total cost = 1,352.96 - 127.87 = 1,225.09
