Ava wants to paint two walls in her room blue. Both walls are 9 feet tall and 12 feet long. One wall has a 3 foot by 2 foot window and the other wall has a 3 foot by 7 foot door. What is the combined area of the two walls Ava wants to paint?

    The answer is 189ft2 because you multiply 9 times 12, which equals 108. And since you have 2 walls, you add 108 by 108 which is 216. Then multiply 3 and 7 which is 21 to get the area of the window and 3 by 2 which is 6 to get the other window. Then, add 21 and 6 to get 27. Lastly, minus 216 by 27 to get 189, which is your answer.
