    area of circle = πr²

    Using 3.14 for π ...

    3.14 = π (r²)

    3.14 = 3.14 (r²)

    1 = r²

    r = 1 ft

    circumference of circle = 2πr

    circumference = 2 (3.14) (1) = 6.28 ft

    answer: 6.28 ft
