    Log₈ 5-log₈ (x-6) = 1

    1)

    log_a b - log_a c=log_a b/c

    log₈ 5 / (x-6) = 1

    2)

    log_a b=c ⇔ a^c=b

    log₈ 5 / (x-6) = 1 ⇔ 8¹ = 5 / (x-6)

    8 (x-6) = 5

    8x-48=5

    8x=5+48

    8x=53

    x=53/8

    Answer: x=53/8
