All the members of a team work at the same pace. All six members of the team, working together, are able to pour foundations in 48 hours. How many hours would this job take if only half of the team worked on this task?

    So, if it took 6 members to pour a foundation in 48 hours and they lost half the team, that would leave 3 members to pour the foundation. That means we'll have to multiply the labor of 6 people by 3.

    48 x 3 = 144

    It'll take them 144 hours to complete the foundations with 3 people.
