    Step-by-step explanation:

Jane's mom needs to buy enough gas to fill up her car's tank. Total number of gallons of gas that she needs to fill her tank is 15.

At the shell station, one gallon of gas costs $1.19

    This means that 15 gallons of gas would cost 1.19 * 15 = $17.85

At the Speedway station which is one mile away, one gallon of gas costs $1.07. This means that the cost of 15 gallons of gas would be 15 * 1.07 = $16.05

The amount that she spends at the Speedway station is lower than the amount she spends at the Shell station. The amount that she would save by going to Speedway would be $17.85 - $16.05 = $1.8

    At shell station

    1 gallon=$1.19

    15 gallons = $1.19*15=$17.85

    At speedway station

    1 gallon = $1.07

    15 gallons=1.07*15=$16.05

:. if she go to speedway station, she will save $17.85-$16.05=$1.80
