Shayla is baking muffins that require one-half cup vegetable oil. She only has one-third cup of vegetable oil left. How much more does she need?

    Well to make 1/3 and 1/2 equivalent fractions you need to find a common denominator. So it would be 6. 1/3 now becomes 2/6 and 1/2 becomes 3/6. So she would need 1/6 more cup of vegetable oil.
