A rectangular parking lot has a perimeter of 88 meters. The length of the parking lot is three times the width. Find the length and the width.

    the first thing that i did is to divide 88 by four which gives you 22.

    that is the length if this is a square and since it is a rectangle and the length is 1/3 of the width.

    then you divide 22 in half and get 11,

    add 11 to 22 get 33.

    subtract 11 from 22 get 11.

    33 is the width 11 is the length
