    X=5

    Y=8

    Z=8

    3x+2y-z=23 - - > z=-23+2y+3x

    Y=8

    Substitute for - 2y+4z=16

    -2 (8) + 4 (-23+2 (8) + 3x) = 16

    -16-28+12x=16

    -44+12x=16

    12x=60

    X=5

    Substitute known y and x values into z=-23+2y+3x

    Z=-23+2 (8) + 3 (5)

    Z=-23+16+15

    Z=8
