    To use the addition method we will multiply the first equation with - 2

    -6x = - 10y-18

    6x = - 4y + 6 we will add them both and have

    0 = - 14y - 12, - 14y-12=0, y = 12/14=6/7, y=6/7

    now we solve for x

    3x=5y+9

    3 x=5 (6/7) + 9, 21x=30+63, x=93/21=31/7

    y = 6/7, x=31/7
