What is f (4) if f (x) = |3x + 4| - 2

    You simply plug 4 in wherever you find x.

    Meaning the absolute value of 3 times 4 plus 4 all subtracted by two.

    f (4) = |3*4 + 4| - 2

    f (4) = |12+4| - 2

    f (4) = |16| - 2

    f (4) = 14
