Tom owes $442.51 on his credit card. He returns two items, one for $52.48 and the other for $46.45. Then he makes purchases of $39.68 and $37.58. What is the new balance on the card?

    Tom owes 442.51

    Tom returns 52.48 + 46.45 = 98.93

    Tom purchases 39.68 + 37.58 = 77.26

    Then

    Tom owes 442.51 - 98.93 + 77.26 = 420.84 $
