in one US city the taxi cost is $2 plus 0.50 per mile if you're traveling from the airport there is an additional charge of $5 for toll how far can you travel from the airport by taxi for 24.50

    You can ride 35 miles

    you first take the $5+$2 which is $7

    then subtract $24.50-$7=$17.50

    then you know you can go 2 miles for $1

    so take $17.50 and see how many miles you can get out of that which would be 35 because it's. 50 per mile so double $17 because you get 2 miles out of each dollar which would be 34 then add the last mile for the last. 50
