    F (x) = 4x

    After a reflection in the y-axis, f (x) becomes 4 (-x) = - 4x

    after a vertical compression by a factor of 1/8, f (x) becomes 1/8 (-4x) = - 1/2x

    Therefore, g (x) = - 1/2x
